Ingredients

Meatball Ingredients

1/2 kilo Extra Lean Beef Mince
1 small Onion (finely diced)
2 tablespoons Light Olive Oil
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper


Stew Ingredients

​3 Yellow Potatoes
1 Onion (diced)
2-3 cups Boiling Water
1 x 156mls Tomato Paste
1 teaspoon Curry Powder
1 teaspoon Salt

Small Meatball & Potato Stew / Ras Asfoor min Kirtopeh

  • Add the finely diced onion, salt & pepper to the beef mince and mix all together with your hands
  • Wet your hands and take a small portion of the meatball mixture
  • Roll into a small balls and place in a dish
  • Cover with plastic wrap & place in the fridge for 1/2 an hour
  • Peel the potatoes & cut into chunks
  • ​On high heat add the olive oil in a frypan
  • Place the meatballs in the frypan and brown the meatballs on all sides
  • Place on a dish & wrap in foil
  • In a pot, add the tomato paste, curry powder, salt, diced onion, diced potatoes and boiling water
  • Stir all together
  • Cover & cook on low-medium heat for 1/2 an hour
  • Uncover & stir
  • Add the meatballs, stir all together and cook for another 20 minutes
  • Stir regularly & simmer until potatoes are tender
