Vegan Tahini Rolls

Dough Ingredients
3 - 3 & 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 Vegan Butter (melted)
1 cup Almond Milk (lukewarm)
1 teaspoon Sugar
8gms Active Dry Yeast
1/4 cup Icing Sugar
1 tablespoon Flaxseed Meal


Filling Ingredients
1 & 1/2 cups Crushed Walnuts
3/4 cup Tahini
(sesame seed paste)
1/4 cup Date Molassas
1 teaspoon Cardamom


Icing Ingredients
1 cup Icing Sugar
Almond Milk





  • Add the yeast in the warm milk & add the sugar
  • Mix together & set aside for 5 minutes to activate
  • Add 3 tablespoons of water in the flaxseed meal & mix together
  • Sift the flour & icing sugar in the mixing bowl
  • Attach the dough hook
  • Mix together on low speed
  • Add the melted butter
  • Add the flaxseed meal
  • Add the yeast & milk mixture
  • Knead until the dough doesn't stick to the bowl
  • Add some vegetable oil in a large bowl  place the dough in the bowl
  • Cover with plastic wrap & tea towel & let it rise for 1 hour
  • Add the cardamom in the crushed walnuts &
    mix together

  • Add the date molassas in the tahini paste & stir together
  • Place the dough on your work surface
  • Roll out in a rectangle shape
  • Pour the tahini & date mixture on the dough
  • Spread all over
  • Spread the crushed walnuts all over
  • Tightly roll forward from the edge
  • ​Spray a springform pan with non stick spray
  • Divide the dough cutting from the middle, making 8-9 pieces
  • Place them all in the pan starting from the middle
  • Cover & let them rise for 1/2 an hour
  • Preheat oven 350F or 180C
  • Uncover the rolls & bake for 35-40 minutes
  • Set aside to completely cool
  • Add some almond milk to the icing sugar to make the icing
  • Whisk until a smooth consistency
  • Add the icing in a ziplock bag
  • Open the pan
  • Snip the ziplock bag & pour the icing on the rolls
